Starting this spring there will be a local Farmer’s Market at the Hamler Summerfest grounds on Saturday mornings. The Village of Hamler has decided to host a Farmer Market in order to provide a place for area farmers to bring in their produce for sale. This will be a great opportunity to get some really fresh produce that hasn’t been shipped in from who knows where. You can’t beat fresh, local produce for quality, and usually price too. More info will be in following news letters with dates, times, and who to contact. So plan on coming out this spring, summer, and fall to “get the goods”!!!

Camping Permits for the Hamler Country Music Fest, set to happen on June 26-27, 2009 are now available on-line. Go to the Turkeyfoot Productions website, www.countryfest2009.com to purchase them. Spaces are definitely limited. First come – first served, so if you don’t want to end up sleeping in you truck you better get a site now! They are also a little bit cheaper if you buy them before the event.  Every dollar helps out now a days.

As of right now, Paige Richie will no longer be playing at the Music Fest. It seems as if her band recently broke up. We were really looking forward to having her, but I guess that it just didn’t work out. As with most bad news, there is usually some good news to go along with it, and now is no exception. In Paige’s place the band Shenandoah will take the stage! I’m sure that you know most of their tunes. Check ‘em out at www.shenandoahband.com. They have a lot of famous songs to their name like ‘Two Dozen Roses’, ‘Church On Cumberland Road’, and ‘Next to You, Next to Me’. They have had 13 #1 records, 3 gold albums, and have won a Grammy! We are pretty excited to have them be apart of the Hamler Country Music Fest!!! Yeehaa!!!
