Band Times are Set for the Hamler Country Music Fest…
The gate and band times for the Hamler Country Music Fest, set to happen on June 26-27, 2009 have been set.
Starting on Thursday afternoon, from 4-7, campers can be checked into their camp sites.
On Friday, starting as early as 10am and then throughout the day, campers can also be checked in. The gates for the arena will open at 2pm on Friday. There is an open area, under the roof, for seating at the fest. Music lovers should bring their own lawn chairs and can place them on a first come first served basis. Hopefully there isn’t too much of a stampede at 2:00. The band lineup on Friday will be Tyler Far at 4, Rhett Akins at 6, Clay Underwood at 8, and then rounding up the bunch at 10 will be Shiloh.
On Saturday the gates will open once again at 2. We start all over again with first come first served for chair placing as the lawn chairs will not be allowed to stay set up over night. Kicking off the big event on Saturday, with numerous number 1 hits, is Shenandoah at 4:00. Then the Honky Tonk Tailgate Party with Jeff Bates, Trent Willmon, and Mark Wills will take the stage at 6. And finally, starting around 9 or 9:30, will be Tony Rio.
This is sure to be an event that you won’t forget, so we hope to see y’all out there havin’ a good ole time!!!
Only a Few Hamler Country Music Fest Camping Permits Are Left….
Camping Permits are going fast! There are only a limited number left and once they’re gone, you’ll have to sleep in your truck. To buy your camping permits, or for more camping information, go to the Turkeyfoot Productions website, www.countryfest2009.com
Hamler Community Park to Upgrade their Ball Field….
The ball diamond on the Hamler Summerfest grounds is scheduled for a face lift this year. A new stone infield playing surface will be put down in place of the old grass infield. The upgrade will bring the ball diamond up to the same high quality standards as other ball diamonds in the area. The old grass infield had some nice attributes but was prone to more “bad hops” than the new surface will have. Weather permitting, it should happen this spring. If Mother Nature doesn’t want to cooperate, then it will probably be in the fall. The next time you happen to be driving by the ball diamond and see a bunch of kids playing their hearts out, stop by and check them out!
Hamler Summerfest– a German Heritage Tradition Continues for 41 Years…
Along with all of the other events planned for this year, don’t forget the “big event”. The 41st annual Hamler Summerfest will be held, as always, during the last full weekend in July, from the 24th through the 26th. Kommen Sie Aus and get your “German On”!
